AI Robot Association (AIRoA) | Design Engineer

Job Description

• Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Design and Implementation
    • Lead end-to-end design for AI platform tools, including data annotation, model training, and evaluation interfaces
    • Prototype and implement frontend features using React (approx. 60% design, 40% development)
    • Build and maintain a scalable design system with components and documentation
  • Collaboration and Quality Assurance
    • Work closely with ML researchers and engineers to translate complex workflows into intuitive interfaces
    • Ensure design fidelity from concept to production, making revisions as needed
    • Shape team processes, tooling, and standards as the team grows
  • Product and Strategy Development
    • Contribute to product strategy and influence roadmap decisions
    • Ship UI improvements and lead major feature launches within initial months

  Requirements

  • Technical Skills
    • Experience in UI/UX design for web products with a strong portfolio
    • Proficiency in React, Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular for frontend development
    • Experience leading product launches from concept to post-launch
  • Additional Skills
    • Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail between design and implementation
    • Professional proficiency in Japanese for stakeholder communication
    • Experience with hardware or robotics UI/UX, data visualization, or user research is a plus
