IP Sourcing & Evaluation
- Identify and assess Japanese manga, anime, and novels for adaptation
- Explore emerging and unconventional Japanese IP sources

Creative Development
- Develop expertise in assigned IPs and advocate for their creative integrity
- Evaluate scripts, pitches, and outlines for quality and potential
- Translate and interpret creative materials between Japanese and English, conveying cultural nuances

Project Management
- Lead projects from development to distribution, ensuring authenticity and commercial success
- Assemble creative teams and establish budgets aligned with project goals
- Coordinate with Japanese and U.S. partners, maintaining strong relationships

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Present pitches and project updates to senior management
- Engage with fans and audiences for feedback on creative direction
- Work with internal teams (legal, finance, marketing) to meet project objectives

Market & Trend Tracking
- Monitor trends in Japanese manga, anime, and global entertainment markets
- Identify new creators and IP opportunities
Requirements
- 12+ years in scripted film/TV development or production
- Deep knowledge of Japanese manga and anime industries
- Native-level Japanese and English language skills
- Strong cultural fluency and industry credibility in Japan
- Experience managing projects from development to release
