Responsibilities

Lead AI Product Development
- Oversee development of AI generation products as a tech lead
- Manage backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure in a startup environment
- Lead new product launches and improve existing ones

Development Practices
- Prioritize code review and pair programming
- Enhance code readability and maintainability
- Select development methodologies (agile, waterfall, ad hoc) based on project needs

Team and Communication
- Attend weekly in-person meetings at Tokyo office (once a week)
- Communicate primarily in English; Japanese and English for cross-departmental communication
- Participate in weekly engineer study sessions
Requirements
- Leadership experience in development teams or similar roles
- Over 3 years of experience in web or mobile app development
- Basic knowledge of networks, databases, algorithms, and data structures
- Currently residing in Japan near Tokyo
- Work experience at a Japanese company and in a business environment
- Business-level English and Japanese (N2 or higher)
