Job Description

• Responsibilities

  • AI System Architecture
    • Design and lead multimodal AI integrating dialogue, image, video, sound, and autonomous agents for an immersive companion experience
    • Define long-term AI roadmap and translate product vision into research and engineering priorities
  • Model Development & Optimization
    • Lead model selection, fine-tuning, and post-training across domains such as image generation, TTS, LLMs, and behavioral agents
    • Design agent architectures for proactive, autonomous behavior with real-world integrations
  • Team & Infrastructure
    • Build and mentor AI team, establish best practices, and oversee scalable AI infrastructure
    • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver AI innovations
  • Research & Evaluation
    • Stay updated on AI research, prototype relevant innovations, and establish quality standards for outputs

  Qualifications

  • Experience
    • 7+ years in ML/AI engineering, leadership of AI teams or systems
    • Hands-on experience with at least two AI modalities (e.g., LLMs + image gen)
  • Technical Skills
    • Deep understanding of transformers, diffusion models, autoregressive generation
    • Proficiency in Python, model serving infrastructure (e.g., Triton, Ray Serve)
    • Experience with fine-tuning large models and designing agent systems
  • Languages & Soft Skills
    • Business-level Japanese; English or Mandarin proficiency
    • Strong system design, leadership, and communication skills
