Responsibilities

Design Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 designers across multiple product areas
- Run 1-on-1s, give feedback, and support career growth
- Establish design processes, critiques, and best practices
- Advocate for quality, accessibility, and scalability in design
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders on strategic goals

Hands-On Design
- Contribute to design work from research to high-fidelity prototypes
- Conduct user research and usability testing
- Work with developers to ensure smooth implementation
- Maintain and evolve design systems and style guides

Requirements

Must Have
- 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
- 1+ year in a leadership role (design lead, manager, etc.)
- Portfolio showing design skills and team impact
- Experience designing complex web apps with focus on usability
- Strong collaboration and feedback skills
- Experience building or contributing to design systems

Nice to Have
- 7+ years UI/UX experience
- Experience as Creative Director or leading design initiatives
- 2+ years people management experience
- Japanese language proficiency
