Job Description

  • Responsibilities

    • Brand Management
      • Act as total business owner for Beauty category, managing brand, P&L, and overall business performance
      • Develop and execute brand and product strategies aligned with global direction
      • Build and protect DEFINE and ACUVUE® brand equity
    • Strategy & Execution
      • Lead Beauty category strategy and execution to achieve company goals
      • Implement consumer marketing initiatives across the full customer journey
      • Drive demand generation and successful new product launches
      • Manage product portfolio development and category profitability
    • Global Collaboration
      • Partner with global teams to co-develop Beauty strategy for the No.1 market (Japan)
      • Translate Japan market insights into global innovation and communication strategies
      • Lead Japan as a design market for product and commercial innovation
      • Feed critical innovation needs and commercial ideas from Japan to global teams
    • Execution & Accountability
      • Ensure effective IMC and brand communication across ATL/BTL channels
      • Own forecasts, profitability, and strategic KPI achievement
      • Collaborate across R&D, sales, and marketing for upstream and downstream activities

    Requirements

    • 5+ years in brand, consumer, or category marketing, including new product launches
    • 5+ years cross-functional team experience; leadership experience preferred
    • Experience working with R&D and HQ teams on innovation or brand strategy
    • BA/BS degree required; MBA preferred
    • Experience in creative review, color proofing, and agency management
    • Expertise in beauty or adjacent markets
    • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end brand marketing, packaging, pricing, and channel strategy
    • Strong communication and presentation skills (English & Japanese)
    • Ability to lead diverse teams, manage multiple projects, and operate in fast-paced environments
    • Open to agile change and modernized omni-channel marketing, including influencer activation
