  • About the Role

    Proposal Ninja is a Japan-based creative experience company specialising in surprise proposals, photography, travel experiences and unforgettable moments for clients visiting from all over the world. We're hiring a highly organised, creative and proactive team member to join a dynamic customer experience and operations role — not a traditional desk job. The work revolves around travel, events, photography, proposal planning and creating unforgettable experiences for clients visiting Japan.

    Most work can be done remotely; occasional in-person operational tasks, meetings, errands and travel may also be required.

    No Japanese language ability is required for this role.

    Monthly Salary

    Year 1: Base ¥280,000/month + performance bonus* up to ¥75,000/month (total potential up to ¥355,000/month)

    Year 2: Base ¥308,000/month + performance bonus* up to ¥100,000/month (total potential up to ¥408,000/month)

    *Performance bonuses are based on customer satisfaction, contribution to the business, quality of work, reliability, and achievement of role objectives. There are also additional opportunities to increase earnings through leadership, content creation, design, photography and other specialised responsibilities (see Bonus Skills below).

    Employment Type

    Full-Time, 40 hours per week, flexible schedule based on business needs. Weekend availability occasionally required based on customer bookings and company events.

    Responsibilities

    • Customer Experience & Communication
      • Respond to customer enquiries via email, WhatsApp and phone
      • Assist clients with planning, logistics and coordination
      • Conduct customer consultations and sales calls
      • Anticipate customer needs and maintain high-quality communication standards
    • Operations & Coordination
      • Manage schedules, calendars and operational timelines
      • Coordinate shoots, projects and team logistics
      • Assist with travel planning, bookings and research
      • Support proposal and event coordination
      • Manage administrative tasks, invoices and basic bookkeeping
    • Creative & Brand Support
      • Schedule social media posts and assist with community engagement
      • Support brand consistency and visual quality control
      • Update website and digital media assets
      • Assist with creative operational tasks and project organisation
    • General Team Support
      • Purchase supplies and prepare equipment when required
      • Support team operations and workflow management
      • Assist with miscellaneous operational and organisational tasks
